Terms of Service
Last updated: March 11, 2026
These terms govern use of CiteKeep Student, including the vault and the Chrome extension. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Use of the Service
CiteKeep Student is a recordkeeping and disclosure tool for documenting AI-assisted work. You may use it only in compliance with your school policies, instructor requirements, and applicable law.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for the activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential.
Your Content
You retain responsibility for the prompts, responses, reflections, sources, tags, and other material you save in CiteKeep. You should only save or share material you are permitted to disclose. CiteKeep does not validate that your use of AI is allowed for a specific assignment or course.
Subscriptions and Billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Subscription pricing, renewal timing, cancellation behavior, and any grace-period handling are governed by the plan and billing settings presented at checkout and in the billing portal.
Sharing
Records are private by default. When you create a share link, anyone with that link may view the shared content until you disable the share or delete the record. You are responsible for deciding what to share and with whom.
Acceptable Use
You may not use CiteKeep to violate school rules, infringe intellectual property rights, distribute malware, interfere with the service, or store or share content that is unlawful or abusive. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse.
Availability and Changes
We may improve, change, or discontinue features over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features related to AI platforms may change if those platforms change their websites, APIs, or policies.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CiteKeep is provided on an as-is basis without warranties of uninterrupted service or fitness for a particular academic policy. CiteKeep is not responsible for grading decisions, institutional policy enforcement, or downstream consequences of how you use or disclose AI-generated material.
